William Fields is a musician and composer currently based out of
Wilmington, DE, USA. He has been experimenting with electronic music
for over 10 years. His music ranges from textural ambient to full-out
rhythmic onslaught, but is always melodic. He puts a strong emphasis on
song structure and developing a sense of narrative. His aim is to
create music that is both beautiful and unusual. Live performance is an
important aspect of Fields' music, and he has performed throughout the
Northeastern United States.
Branches is an attempt to document the past 4 years (2001-2005) of
Fields' music making. Its stylistic diversity reflects the various
tools, techniques, and methodologies he has been experimenting with over
this period of time.
